This sounds like Dejavu from Dec. 08' and Dec. 04'

December 2009
1st-3rd. Rain and wet snow south to the Gulf Coast, followed by clear and cold weather.

^ Long range from the Farmer's Almanac

Global Warming? I don't think so.
My dad says he wouldn't be surprised if some of that wet snow made it down here. :o

It's possible, since we are in an El Nino pattern and is expected to stay that way throughout this winter, it usually means colder and wetter conditions in the South stronger El Ninos are a little different though, they're usually act similar to La Ninas. I knew an El Nino was developing this year because the signs were there, it has been very wet this year compared to the last couple of years, it has been much cooler right now than this time last year, the last day of August and first day of September is forecasted to be in the 70's and lows in the 50's! That's very unusual for late summer, if we managed to get into the mid to low 50's this week were gonna break century old records from the 1880's. I also noticed that el ninos tend to bring more icestorms and occasionally snowstorms to my area. The worst icestorms we had this century have been in Jan 2000 and Jan 2005 during el nino winters.

I wish El Nino would bring much-needed rain in California. I hope my area will have an above-average rainfall season this winter.

GLOBAL warming.  Not Gulf Coast Warming ;)

I don't know how many times I explain this to people.  Global warming is the rise in the EARTH's average temperature, not one specific area.

I know that, I wasn't saying that to imply that it affected only the GC, I said that for the same reason you just said that it's supposed to be a rise in the Earth's temp, it's already snowed in that region twice and could be a third time if the FA turns out to be right in just this decade alone, it's even been snowing in places where it extemely rarely happens or never has been recorded in history to happen. It doesn't really help the people who believe this exist when it's doing things like that, the earth probably is warming, but in the form of climate change like it always has for the past billions of years.

Well, my Pinnacle is f***d up again  it loads fine but refuses to scan for channels and won't record :dunno:

So I try WinTV, but it constantly skips while recording >_< so now I'm looking at ATIs and the only USB one I can find is the Diamond TV Wonder HD 600 :hmm: so I hope that it won't skip this time. ;)

ATI's are good, I use one on my desktop. I never see their tuners anywhere anymore, however.

ATI's suck.  End of discussion.

If WinTV is the problem, try Windows Media Center.

I've had few problems with WinTV. I've had issues with WinTV6 crashing but a simple reinstall fix it, and it doesn't take too much memory even though I don't suggest doing other activities while WinTV is running. The only issue is that WinTV won't scan for channels...it's stuck on Ch3 or Ch4 which is fine in most cases anyways
