It's common sense...wash your hands and avoid contact with sick people. People can't seem to use common precautions.
I couldn't agree more.

Just out of curiosity, are most swine flu locations in Texas? :dunno: I ask because I thought I heard someone say that the flu got into the U.S. from people coming from Mexico. So obviously, it would start in Texas.

And today, our school district pratically freaked out, giving us letters, tips, and whatnot about staying healthy.

Most of the cases of swine flu not in Mexico came from there, by way of vacationers who visited there, became ill, and broguht it into this and other countries. Texas has a few cases, but it doesn't necessarily have to have the most. I believe New York has the most at this time.

Geez, I'll have to be careful as I'm in NY now.  I imagine that good hygiene, vitamins, and sleep are my best options.

Looks like the overreaction of the Swine Flu has hit my area. A billion posters of WHAT IS THE SWINE FLU AND HOW TO PREVENT IT are posted everywhere I turn (even on buses). Plus, my cousins who live in the border city of Mexicali, told me last night that school was cancelled due to the sickness. They won't be back until May 6 -or- the spread has wind down a little. My eye-lasik surgery (a bit off topic), is gonna take place in Mexicali and idk what's gonna happen if this whole disease or sickness is gonna "eat people up".  :noexpression:

Anyways, the Mexican border 15 miles south of Duck Centro (El Centro) are getting even more serious. Border Patrol agents are gonna suspect every person who feels ill. If you look ill or you show signs of the flu, they will boot you to Secondary inspection. In my case..I do not plan to visit Mexicali...but I wonder how my family are doing as of now.  :noexpression:

Any rate...I'm definetly alerted.  :thrilled:

Why is it coming from Mexico? What's the source (besides pigs) in Mexico that it makes it so deadly?

Because we travel, a lot. So, it's easy, very easy to spread from country to country. The reason why it's deadly, according to people.. is that the reason Mexicans are being killed more and are having severe symptoms, but people in the U.S. are dealing with mild symptoms, because people in Mexico don't live in a clean environment, and not only that, people in Mexico don't have the luxury of seeing a doctor with in a day, thus, they don't get antiviral medicine and treatment like we do, and they deteriorate, fast. We, in America, do have the luxury of seeing a doctor more, thus we get treatment, and we only get mild symptoms.
