It's been a tough year for sports here in Michigan. The Wolverines (football) posted their worst record in its 129 year history. The Tigers, a team that was expected to compete for the World Series, end up finishing last in the division (yeah, behind the Royals), and so far have done nothing to improve. The Pistons are in definite decline. I think that's all the teams... oh wait, I almost forgot. THE LIONS. All the Lions did was post the worst record in NFL history by becoming the first team to ever go 0-16. I mean, the Lion's have always been bad, but now with this historic feat, the whole world gets to know just how retched this franchise really is.
Now despite all of that failure and ineptitude, there is one team here that stands above the rest. The Red Wings continue its high standard of excellence year in and year out, and is the lone team that people around here can be proud of.
