In the NBA Playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers just got swept by the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semi-Finals.  As a fan, this is disappointing to say the least.    But they did have a good run. The Lakers won 2 straight titles, and went to the NBA Finals three consecutive years. Kobe Bryant still has 5 rings. Plus, Phil Jackson retires with 11 rings as a coach. Pau Gasol did not show up this series for the Lakers at all.

I am most interested in college football right now and what it's being called it the "Game of the Century", my team, the (number 2) Alabama Crimson Tide are about to take on the (number 1) LSU Tigers. It should be a great game. The kinda game that might give me a heart attack to watch.

Although it is quite sad, I think it serves as a good warning to any other sport organizations that may try the same move in the future.

The owners made a big mistake by overplaying these players. The owners spoiled the players. Now these players are bugging about taking a pay cut, and a deal not being fair. They really think people are trying to hear these multi-millionaires complain in this recession, when people are literally struggling to put food on the table and looking for work?  If the players union wanted to decertify, they should have done it in July, when they would have more than enough time to work it out and get a deal done.

What a difference two weeks makes! The owners and players have agreed, and now there will be an NBA season! It'll just be a shortened 66 game regular season.

I don't know who watched it, but the Broncos beat the Steelers in OT in a mere 11 seconds with an 80-yd TD pass on the first play. All I can say is HOLY TEBOW!

Next week, it's broncos vs patriots.

I'll at least make it complete for everyone who is wondering about the NFL playoffs:

AFC Semifinals - Denver Broncos at New England Patriots, Houston Texans at Baltimore Ravens
NFC Semifinals - New York Giants at Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints at San Francisco 49ers

Also, the national championship in college football is tomorrow with the rematch of LSU vs. Alabama.
