Maybe I'm the only one, but this video makes no sense.

I think the video was added to a recorded phone call so it could be posted on youtube. Just ignore the video and listen. ;)

You would be surprised how many insane calls local stations get. Probably even more so for national stations like TWC. And thus this is why sending in complaints is virtually pointless on a small scale

I laughed out loud that whole video.
People are selfish. Anytime there is severe weather, dozens of people complain because it isn't their area. I get so mad when people get mad because they are missing their *precious..and important* show. Boo freakin' whoo.

I don't remember the name of the video on YT, but it showed Mark Mancuso covering Hurricane Bertha (?) back in 1996 and someone called the studios pretending to be an EMS type guy from the Carolinas and it turned out to be a prank. The prankster said something before he hung up, but I don't remember what that was atm.

We had quite a few of those over the summer back in '08 when I worked at the ABC affiliate in Evansville, IN. Sad but true. People can be extremely selfish sometimes, especially when severe weather is in the western parts of the viewing area and the sun's out in the eastern part (and the Plains have some BIG viewing areas, sometimes stretching over half a state.) And even squeezes will get people mad, too, because it shuts off the 1080p HD which "they pay Comcast $10 a month extra of MY money to get."
On the flipside, these same people would b :censored: h and moan if we wouldn't pre-empt Desperate Housewives because a tornado is 3 miles away. <_<
