Wow, they're getting rid of Cold Case? That show took place here in Philly.

The networks are canning several shows I enjoyed, but they're sticking with some of the worst  :censored: I've seen. NBC must be desperate because they're keeping the mid-season rookies "Minute to Win It", "The Celebrity Apprentice", and "Who Do You Think You Are". Some of the most unfunny comedy shows (The Cleveland Show, Community, The Marriage Ref, Two and a Half Men) stuck around, surprisingly.

I know only one fan of the Cleveland Show, and he is a 28-year-old manchild living in Ruckersville, Virginia.

A lot of those shows are getting canned because they cost too much to produce, Cold Case and The New Adventures of Old Christine are examples of that. I'm surprised Two and a Half Men got picked up again, Charlie Sheen is about to serve jailtime wouldn't that get in the way of production? Most shows don't do well without their main character just like 8 Simple Rules when John Ritter died.

It doesn't matter what shows are good to these networks, what matters is what shows are the cash cows and which shows will be cost worthy to the network's expense. Ratings obviously don't matter because if they did there would be less shows being cancelled. It amazes me how they will break their necks to keep a crappy reality show on, but they don't waste time in getting rid of good or at least decent shows with potential.  <_<

I'm glad CBS finally dumped "The New Adventures of Old Christine." What a horrible show. Then again, what do you expect from Elaine? I am amazed, though, that "American Dad" is still going. Another horrible show. That and the "Cleveland Show." I've often wondered how the same people that do "Family Guy" do those two shows. Granted, "Family Guy" isn't nearly as funny as it used to be, but still. Same with "South Park." I don't know how that show has made it so far. Glad my shows "Psych" and "Burn Notice" were renewed, though!

You all know me, I am a huge fan of Cold Case. I love how well the show is put together, and I think the characters work very well together. It's a shame the show is getting cancelled, though I never watch CBS, so I never got to see the new shows. Apparently TNT only has licensing to syndicate up through the 2008 season... since they showed episodes from that season ans rotated back to the 2003 season.

I was not at all surprised Law and Order was cancelled. The show had become a shadow of its former self. I thought the show lost some of its character when Jerry Orbach, who played Det. Lenny Briscoe. The cast was really not working well together at the time of cancellation, and I don't believe the cast was all that great. Sam Waterston, who played Jack McCoy, sure got old, fast. I loved the ending episode though.

They got Law and Order: Los Angeles taking it's place in the fall so it won't be that big of a loss. I didn't like the original anyway as long as it wasn't Special Victims Unit instead... :club:

Shows Canned

Shows Returning/Renewed

Endangered

No complaints on the Cancelled list. Mediocre network shows or decent shows that were beaten until they were worthless.  Its a shame there are no really original great shows that I am looking forward to. Its a little surprising to me that people still like the million versions of crime investigation series. Law and Order was actually more unique then most of the ones in that renewal list. I am happy though they did get rid of it. The show was starting to loose its touch

Some law shows are better than others. Cold Case and SVU were examples.

Here's a better, more organized list, plus the schedules:

PS: For syndication, They decided to give Judge Karen another try, just under a new name. Since Tyra's show is done, the CW 3-5pm block is still undetermined at the time of this post.

Kind of unhappy that Law & Order was canceled, although it hasn't been as good in recent years. I'm happy that SVU, my favorite show, was renewed. Hopefully L&O Los Angeles has characters that are as good as Stabler and Benson in SVU. And I'm with Matt, New Adventures on CBS was very stupid, and I too am glad Burn Notice was renewed! A few of the other shows I'm glad to see returning are Two and a Half Men, and Rules of Engagement.  I'm kind of sad to see Trauma (NBC) not renewed, I liked that show.

Yah, but it was bound to end sometime. It's just not the same without Lenny. And I'm not crazy about the current assistant DAs.
