The original host of "Family Feud" and Corporal Newkirk himself of "Hogan's Heroes", Richard Dawson, passed away yesterday. He was 79. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/06/richard-dawson-dies-family-feud-host-was-79/ (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/entertainment/2012/06/richard-dawson-dies-family-feud-host-was-79/)

Another game show legend has passed :(
Here's a hilarious clip from Family Feud, from which Dawson hosted from 1976-1985...

My thoughts go out to one of the best game show hosts in history, and he was a very bright man if you watched him on Match Game. Hope his family can find comfort and peace now. :(
Jesse, if you're going to include that clip, I have to add this one for the funniest moments in Family Feud history:

RIP Mr Dawson.. I remember back in the earlier 2000s watching his era of Family Feud on Gameshow Network.. he was certainly a funny man to watch on TV. He was also a frequent panelist on Match Game if you remember that... :(

He was great guy with an explosion of friendly and humorous charisma. He'll surely be missed. :(
I had seen that video about the lady giving the answer September to that pregnancy question before, but it was even more funnier seeing it again this time around. I wonder if GSN is gonna honor Richard Dawson in the same way they did for Dick Clark?

They usually do. Nothing has been announced as of yet, as it would be last minute changes to the schedule.

Most likely. They also did a tribute to Peter Tomarken back in 2006 by airing a marathon of the original Press Your Luck.
