Wow. Is Google no longer even vaguely religious? They celebrate the winter holidays...guess they are afraid now. <_<
-
Wow. Something is wrong...did they forget? Because if they do a doodle for some artist's birthday or whatnot, surely they can do one for Easter. :(
-
Maybe they ran out of ideas? :P
-
Here's one... who cares?

I'm with you on that one to a degree. If they can do other religious holidays, Easter should certainly be one of them.
Otherwise, I could care less.

Okay this is one of my pet peeves. They saying goes "I COULDN'T care less" If you say "I COULD care less" then that means you somewhat care about the topic. Based on what you said you do care that Google didn't put up an Easter logo.

You obviously don't understand the term. Otherwise, it might be a regional dialect/way of saying it. Either way, I could care less.
And no, I don't care. I'm just a little curious as to why they would put up something for Christmas, but not Easter. It doesn't make sense, but I'm not going to whine and complain about it.

It's "I couldn't care less", Gil.

getting back to the regional dialect thing. I've never heard anyone say "I couldn't care less."

Probably because people are lazy and forget to say the "n't" part. A lot of people do say "I could care less" but the correct way is "I couldn't care less".

Well then again, who really cares about anything these days?

Apparently people couldn't care less about it. :P

They do have a gold ribbon on the bottom of the page, but no special logo or anything.

I'm also into corporate branding...and I think Google is stepping away from Google Doodles.
If you look at how they're re-branding their websites with a much more serious, uniform look, and how un-serious their doodles are...it's like night and day.
Prime example of re-branding:
(http://web.archive.org/web/20071214231007/video.google.com/common/logo_video.jpg?hl=en) to (http://video.google.com/img/logo_video_search.png?hl=en)
I also have a different theory for why the doodles have ceased: the economy. Maybe Dennis Hwang was laid off. Who knows? Guess we'll find out soon enough.

Seems that plain logos is the thing nowadays. It used to be how fancy companies tried to make their logos and products, but now they are making them look plain and simple like in the "pre-90's" era.

That is my favorite re-brand in the "Simpl-era" so far.

They do have a google doodle today, maybe they aren't doing doodles for holidays anymore.... :dunno:
