Title: Nickelodeon/Nick @ Nite Discussion
Post by: wxntrafficfan on June 14, 2009, 10:17:37 AM
Since I didn't see one posted here, I thought I would post a this topic on all things Nickelodeon and Nick @ Nite.

For starters,
"Mr. Troop Mom", starring George Lopez, debuts this Friday evening at 8 PM EDT. It sound hilarious, and I will make sure to see it. I think George Lopez is an okay actor, but I really like how funny he is.

Also, I just saw an ad for Malcolm In The Middle, which is apparently coming to Nick @ Nite on July 5th. It is a strange show, but it is somewhat funny.

The Nanny needs to go. I'm sorry.

I know. They also play marathons of The Nanny all night sometimes, which really annoys me.

I don't know, it's an okay show, I think it is funny. Yeah, marathons can get annoying though. My favorite show is Home Improvement, by far

I'm a George Lopez fan.  I think The Nanny is an okay show, too. Just not my favorite. Since this is also a Nick topic, my favorite Nickelodeon show is SpongeBob. It always makes me laugh.

Yeah, I really like how funny George Lopez is. Spongebob is good, and I used to be obessed with it, but now I just watch it whenever nothing else is on.

When I have time to watch TV, I LOVE watching George Lopez and Home Improvement!  Funny thing is, is that I never had watched GEorge Lopez, Home Improvement, Full House, Cosby Show, Roseanne, Fresh Prince, ect.., UNTIL it came to Nick @ Nite.  I miss watching Nick at Nite  :(

The only thing I watch on Nick is occasionally Home Improvement and George Lopez, like Kyle. I was never really a fan of the cartoons on Nick during my childhood, I was more into Cartoon Network.

As for Malcolm in the Middle, we already get that here on my FOX affiliate weeknights at 11:30 PM. I saw it once or twice, it's not too bad. Wish it aired earlier though.

Nick, Nick at Nite, and TV Land have all sucked since about 2000.

I want I Love Lucy.  Cheers.  Beverly Hillbillies.  And so on.

George Lopez and sometimes the Fresh Prince of Bel Air are good shows.

It comes on at the same time it does on my FOX affiliate too. It also comes on FX at 3-4pm or 2-3pm, sometimes the timeslot switches with The Bernie Mac Show.

I really only watch George Lopez ( :rofl2: ) and VERY RARELY Roseanne when nothing's on in the early mornings (which I haven't seen on the guide for a while on N@N, did they drop it?).

The Nanny has to go. Now. <_<

I was definitely a Nickelodeon watcher.  The only thing I'd watch on Cartoon Network was Scooby Doo or Dexter's Laboratory.  haha.  Coincidently, CW and Nick are channel 59 and 60 :P

CN and Nick were on channels 56 and 57 respectively (our Comcast office has the lineup arranged by genre), although Cartoon Network went all digital last October and is now on channel 127 I think.

Well, Comcast here has put Nick on Channel 38, Cartoon Network on Channel 60, and TV Land (apparently a subdivision of Nickelodeon) on Channel 61.

Over at my dad's place in the E.L., Nick is on Channel 46, TV Land on Channel 45, and CN on Channel 44.

My guess is that the E.L. headend does organize it by genre, but the headend here in Lansing clearly does not.

I sure hope they have done away with Roseanne. I don't like that show and it is terrible

I am more for anything that is funny, really, and that is why I watch Nick @ Nite. I really do like the Niles character on the Nanny. Home Improvement is by far my favorite show, and George Lopez is pretty far up there as well.

BEST NICK SHOWS EVER: Doug, Rugrats, anything from the 90's is the best ever. yes, even The Amanda show.

I only watch George Lopez on N@N now. They haven't played Full house for a long time. And I miss it.

I believe Spongebob celebrates his 10th anniversary this July...IMO, 1999 Spongebob is FTW, 2009 Spongebob doesn't seem that funny anymore.

same here Ana. I don't see any pizzazz with the new Spongebob episodes. I loved Hey Arnold, The Wild Thornberrys, Kenan and Kel, ALL THAT, amanda show, Rugrats, Doug, and Legends of the Hidden Temple back when Nick had their Nick Gas segments on Sundays.

Same here. The newer episodes of SpongeBob (season 4-present) are OK and good though.

They need to bring back Full House...I mean I loved that show since I was little, and when my sister was in elementary school

I loved nick, especially when All That, Double Dare, Guts, Wild and Crazy kids, Nick Arcade (which had sonic on there a couple of times) and Legends of the Hidden Temple were on during the 90's,

but ever since 1999 i've never watched Nick since.

Yeah, I do miss it. I remember back in '06 when they did an all-night marathon of it, and I could only make it up to 2 AM  :rofl2:
At one point, it would always play no matter what at 5:30 AM ET every morning, but that was discontinued. You can catch Full House weekdays on ABC Family at 3-4 PM ET, or on weekends at 9-10 AM ET.

"I Love Lucy" is the gold standard of comedy television in my book, and classic Nickelodeon from the 90s was way better than today!

Well, "Mr. Troop Mom", starring George Lopez, is on Nick @ Nite at 8 PM EDT! I think it sounds funny, and I will try to watch it at some point. Anyone else watching it?
