In case you weren't aware, weather.com just got a major facelift. Don't worry! Your stories about spooky train stations and the 8 things you didn't know about sloths are still front and center, with those boring maps and forecasts near the bottom.
It's on the beta testing sub-domain, so in case you aren't automatically sent to it, try this link (http://www.b.weather.com/). The new look is a little too slick and boxy for my tastes, but better than the previous design.

It's been years since I've been to that site. ;)

The New weather.com (http://weather.com) has launched. Features the simple icons

It truly looks as if weather.com is trying to emulate Windows 8. In my opinion, it's an unholy and disorganized mess in which nothing looks good.

I really like the new design of weather.com. It's very clean and organized. Before they relaunched weather.com I kept going to beta.weather.com just to see the redesign. Once again good work TWC!!!! :worship:

Agreed. Very boxy and bland.

so i have to go through more menus to access stuff now.. :itsok:

Is TWC just trying to make their stuff less user-friendly? I don't understand. It just seems like a bunch of stuff randomly placed. I don't get it, and I suppose I never will.

Bordentown, ha. I got lost there on the way from Delaware back in 2007, and ended up going to a Dunkin Donuts on Route 206 for directions back to AC.
I don't think the look is bad. I'm glad they are making is simpler, the design looks a lot more cleaner, IMO.

The new icons remind me a little of the WeatherSTAR-era icons in a way.
I haven't noticed any changes in the way I access the weather data I like to look up on this site, so at least they didn't mess it up too badly IMHO.
EDIT: Never mind. I just realized they merged the "Mostly Sunny/Fair" icon with the "Partly Cloudy" icon and the "Isolated/Scattered Thunderstorm" icon with the "Thunderstorm" icon. So, the level of detail provided on the monthly weather data is compromised. This is unacceptable to me.
