Radio Station in Texas Town to become "Green"
« on: April 03, 2008, 06:47:50 PM »
Yes, you've read right; KAND in Corsicana, TX will become the United States' first "Green" radio station. Its programming consists of eco-friendly News and Talk programs with longtime radio personality Kevin McCarthy (formerly at KLIF 570 AM) filling the 10:00AM to Noon (central time) slot. Although the 1,000 Watt station doesn't cover the immediate Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, KAND will be streaming online to several North Texas listeners. The said "Hybrid" format is set to launch on June 1, 2008.
