Well getting it for any period for $9.95 certainly isn't a rip off. But, if they jack it up to $40 or $50 bucks after a few month's, its not really all that great of a deal.

Gil, Matt told me that we have to transfer the database from his server to yours. He says he can give me an SQL dump file when we're ready to do that, but that he has no idea what needs to be done on your end. Do you know?

Alright, an update on the situation-I have everything backed up and ready for transfer to the new server. BUT I need Gil to set me up with a username and password for the server so that I can begin transferring everything via FTP. This task takes two minutes. But Gil doesn't have two minutes to spare. SO basically until Gil finds two minutes (two minutes!) to spare, I'm stuck.  >

No he's not HERE (obviously you can see that!  ), but he is online. Apparently he's doing something that he can't take a couple moments away from.

Another update-as always seems to be the case with Gil something has gone wrong, and will take a week to fix. There's never a quick fix with Gil. And he's supposed to be super smart. Now my understanding is that Kyle is supposed to be trying to get things up and running (I just love it when other people are involved and haven't communicated with me), so basically I'm doomed at this point in time. I want to apologize ahead of time for any possible downtime come the 27th. I have this sneaking suspicion that we won't be ready (and that I'll be highly upset).

At this point, if anyone else can offer some assistance I will take it. I need to do whatever is quickest, and that IS NOT what I'm doing at this point.

Im working with Gil to get the server running asap.. however if we cant get his working you can put the site on my server.. But until then I aim to get Gil's server working..

Whatever has to be done I suppose...what's the big deal with Gil's? Everythig was fine earlier, except that my FTP program couldn't understand the server's response once it was connected....

Well im working with my site, so that mouatin thing might apply to me.. As for Gil.. I have no clue what hes doing.. Im trying to get his FTA running so that we can access it.. I am going to give him a program that will do the FTP.. Since the one hes using is .. crap.

I don't really care what you all do as long as I don't have to change the way I've been doing things. I've been using WS_FTP and I will not switch to something else.

And you guys are making more out of this then there is (which is what I meant by the mountain saying). This should not take three days to do. Yes, three days. I've been trying to get this site thing rolling since I created this thread on Tuesday evening.
