Hey Billy, check out this article I just got. It says that WGAL will be taking their WxPlus off the air on Thursday and replacing it with some kind of movie channel:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28449828/

I wonder if WBAL will do the same?

Mines has stopped playing music. They also got rid of the NBC logo along with the text Weather Plus, but the word weather is still there. They have been slowly closing it down since morning. The national segments have stopped as well. There's only a continuous N. Georgia radar loop going w/ no commercials.

Ok, as of midnight, WGAL WeatherPlus is off the air. It has been replaced by "This-TV."

And WBAL's WeatherPlus still remains.

This TV seems to be a popular option. It's owned by Weigel Broadcasting, which also own a bunch of Midwestern TV properties.

KPNX still gets national WX+ maps.

Re Chris: They're doing local radar now...just local radar.

"Coming up, a look at your local radar! But first, your local radar, showing any precipitation and its movement during the past 90 minutes. Intensity is indicated by the color code at the top of the screen."

Chicago has also gone the "NBCplus" route. Is it me, or do those fonts used for the city names look like a font TWC used to use for the city names?

So, yeah, I'd say this "NBCplus" thing is going to run on all of the O&Os.

Holy crap, they just played the production music they usually use to to the teasers for YWT! I soooo wish they had this channel on Satellite so I could actually record it.
