Sorry, but I'm differing with all three of you. There's a reason no upgrades have been made since the announcement that NBC was "interested" in TWC (and yes, there were a few minor tweaks planned). However, they have yet to be developed because the future of Weatherscan is on "thin ice." I'll leave it at that. :biggrin:

We'll see Tyler. For some reason some people just can't come to grips with the fact that no major changes are coming from this buyout.  :rolleyes:

Yes, but not exclusively. It was directed at you and everyone else who can't get off of this "something major's gotta happen" thing.

I prefer CBS WeatherNow than NBC WeatherPlus.

Gary, I know nothing huge will happen. I've been saying that from the beginning. However, to *most* people, the discontinuation of Weatherscan wouldn't even make them blink. It's ratings are rather poor.

Its not meant to be a ratings puller. You watch it for 5 minutes when you need the weather.  :biggrin:

Isn't that why most people watch TWC in the first place? :yes;

No. How often can you turn on TWC and get your weather immediately? On the 8's, if you tune in at that time. Or maybe if your lucky enough to tune in when their talking about your region. Butyou can turn WxScan on at any time and get your local weather. A big difference in my opinion.

I mean, I don't think most people are going to spend more than 10 minutes to get their weather (Period), especially before work, school, etc. Most people just don't have time. Other than special/primetime programming, most people probably aren't watching TWC/WeatherScan for more than 10 minutes at a time. :yes:

That's exactly why I don't want, nor do I see Weatherscan being discontinued. WeatherPlus has commercials. Weatherscan has an ad crawl and sponsor logos, therefore no need for commercials. Plus, I don't have the time to have an OCM presenting my forecast when I am in a hurry.

WeatherPlus has commercials? That's stupid. Personally, I wish TWC hadn't updated WeatherScan the way they did. I can't even watch it anymore, there's simply TOO MUCH GOING ON.

How do you figure that? It can take up to 8 minutes to get your local weather on TWC. On WxScan you get it the moment you turn it on.  :thinking:

I'm not specifically saying TWC. All I said is that people aren't going to spend more than 10 minutes to get their weather, no matter what medium is chosen.
