I've been up since 4 AM today finding out that my 2-year-old calico cat, Serafina, had her water broke. She started to pace, meow, purr/growl and lick constantly. I had to stay with her and keep an eye on her in case she doesn't get hurt. She entered the stage of labor at that time. :noexpression:
So I guess it's time for me to admit that I am going to be a grandmommy soon. :thrilled:
almost 11 hours later, she is still in labor, and according to my ex-neighbor, labor can last up to 24 hours, so, anytime now, Serafina will have her kittens.
Right now she is next to me, sleeping...although her kittens are restless inside her tummy..
I will keep updated on what's going on over here. (Since I decided to drop the topic from the Front Porch).

Ana, I'm happy you decided to make this into a seperate thread, but you didn't need to...at least not at Jessie's request. He doesn't make the rules here (although he seems to like to think he does).
Jesse, I appreciate your concern, but please let me decide these things. The Front Porch IS for discussing ANYTHING after all, so I don't see the harm in Ana discussing this there. :biggrin: B)

Well, as of 6:50 PM PDT, after coming back from my lil sister's baseball game, Serafina just gave birth to one kitten. I had to go somewhere with my dad to pay the bills and as I came back, she has given birth to two more. Serafina doesn't want me to go near nor witness the birth of the kittens. All of them so far are black kittens. I am in the "waiting room" right now waiting for this to pass. Probably in two hours the whole thing will pass off. :)
So, congrats to Uncles Jesse, Evan, Jonny and Zachy!

Well I have to wait about a week in order to find the gender of those kittens (either 2 male-1 female, 2 female-1 male, all female or all male). But I am thinking of naming those kittens after Abrams & Bettes. (Like for example, my doggy Abby, a form of Abrams). For sure if there's a female, she will be named Stephie.

Well, here's my update on my kitties.
The white-with-black-spots kitty is a female, so she might get the name Stephie.
The Grayish-black kitty (bengal) is still unknown...
The Black kitty is still unknown as well.
BTW I am thinking of doing a live UStream on my account so if you are an uncle or auntie and you want to see the kitties live...you can do so....It's coming soon though.

Cool! I want to see baby kitties live! It'll be like an egg cam...but with live animals.
