Sonny Eliot, a famous weatherman in Michigan, well known for his humorous forecasting tactics, has died at the age of 91, and just a few weeks before his 92nd birthday.
Sonny was a veteran of World War II, who soon after the war began a career in broadcast meteorology. Throughout the years, he worked at various television stations in Detroit, MI, before retiring in the 80's (I believe.) After he retired from television broadcasting, he forecasted for radio station WWJ 950 AM out of Detroit until 2010, after 60 years in broadcasting. He will be dearly missed by the many people that loved watching or listening to his forecasts.
