Thought I'd help you out! ;)

Merry Christmas everyone! B) So, what did Santa bring to you guys?

I got:
-some clothes
-a carrying bag for my laptop
-a "Chill Mat" for my laptop, basically, it's a little board with two fans on it that I place under my laptop whenever I'm using it (it's hooked up to my laptop via USB), and it keeps the laptop nice and cool, because it gets too hot if I have just the laptop on my lap. This is REALLY nice. B)

My mom got a laptop for herself, which is the exact same laptop that I have, only the specs are slightly different (I'll post those in the Computer Specs thread). Now I'll get to use my laptop all by myself (before, I shared it with my mom). :D Also, this was the first time I got to use the new Windows Easy Transfer feature in Vista. It was pretty simple. All I had to do was configure the network and Wi-Fi on the new laptop, then run Easy Transfer on both machines, and I transfered her account data from my laptop to her account on her laptop over the network. It even transferred her desktop background! It didn't take too long either, about 10 minutes to complete. :)

Some hard to find music, clothes, cash, iTunes cards among other stuff.

Stephen, that chill mat sounds neat. I've seen something similar at a bookstore, only it doesn't have fans on it. I should get something like that. Whenever I put my laptop on my lap it gets REALLY hot.

Merry Christmas to all! I won't be here tomorrow, so I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!  :sunglasses:

Or so I thought. I woke up sick this morning about 3 AM, stuffed up nose, coughing, sneezing etc. so I took medicine and went back to bed. When I woke up this morning I felt even worse. I was supposed to visit my father today, which I was still going to try to drag myself out to do. But I called my father and he came down with the flu overnight! What a Christmas its been!  :ninja:

You okay Gary? You should see the doctor tomorrow... if you want, or in my case try drinking lots of soup as well as tea and hot fluids. You'll be better in a few days. That's how I cured my cold

I'm ok Krishnan. Just feeling a bit run down. I doubt I'll see a doctor. I should be well again in a day or two.

Thank you all for your concern and well wishes!  :sunglasses:

An ad from either TWCC or TWCT. <_<

As I've already said, you didn't get it from here. My ads are clean. And that's a promise.

So this leaves TWCC as the culprit. TWCT is also faster than TWCC. SMF is better technology maybe?

The ads don't have anything to do with the message board software.

Right. Any ads on this site or TWCC were placed there by myself or Matt. Sites and forums do not come with ads. ;)

The delivery was delayed for some reason. But I don't mind the wait, since I won't be able to run it on my laptop anyway.

Thunder, you are so narrow minded it isn't funny. You have no idea how many people don't know how to use computers. Its many more than you think, and not just people in the groups you mentioned. And computers aren't neccesities either.

Gosh, what would rich people do without money?

Title: Re: Merry Christmas

i was about to say what gary mentioned...computers aren't a necessity.

your attitude toward things like this remind me of the rich snobs we have here in alamo heights...who always complain that their car is a year old and want a new one...please give me a break.

Thunder, I can't stand snobs like you   A computer is FARRRRRRRR from a necessity.

Just because you have money, does not make you happy.

Thats all I have to say

Well most people have a computer mind you. You dont have to be filthy stinkin' rich to have one

Wxmediafan, you are really getting on my nerves. You just never seem to stop including/quoting  me in your posts, do ya?

I'm sorry if i said "not having a computer is for dumb folks" but there's hardly anyone i know who doesnt have a computer. IMO, i think a television is far more important than computers and Internet.

That's the only thing that gets on your nerves about me.

Wow.. I've got a long list of why you get on my nerves, buddy ;)

I know you don't have to be rich to have a computer, but some people are not fortunate enough to have one.  They aren't dumb if they don't.

I don't think a padlock is necessary for this thread. Although a nice padlock might look good on your account Thunder.  ;)

Let us get back on topic. If there's nothing further to say about this topic, then just let it find its way to the bottom of the pile.  :sunglasses:
