This computer is from 1994. I can post specs if desired. It is an AIO, meaning the monitor and computer are built into eachother.

Yes, they had those as well as Power Mac 5400's at my elementary school. However, in 2003/2004, they replaced them with awful Compaqs. Believe it or not, the Macs were better (and less prone to problems) than the newer Compaq computers.

I once owned a 5400. Very nice machine.

Oh I definitley believe that. There's no doubt in my mind about that.

It's kind of interesting how schools these days are replacing old Macs, with extremely cheaper computers, that are a helluva lot less reliable, harder to use, and in some cases, slower than the 14 year old Macs! Doesn't make a lot of sense. Macs are a lot easier to use for kids, seeing as its a very simple OS. Schools don't really need new technology either, cause they are mainly using computers for learning to type, typing papers, and playing games, right? Just doesn't seem sensible, or economical.

Hah, that must be a REAL treat for both the students and staff.

My school has bought a lot of new computers this past month, undoubtedly shipped with Vista, but they put XP pro on them instead.

Of course. Macs are the only option for fine arts.

My brother is studying graphic design at U of I. All of the labs (except maybe 1 on the entire campus) are Macs, either Mac Mini's or Power Mac G5's, all with 30 inch monitors.
