I was actually quite content with Comcast's e-mail. I actually don't recall having any spam at all.

I have Yahoo and hotmail. I get too much spam on Yahoo, but on Hotmail, I don't get any spam! It feels better

That sometimes happens, because it doesn't know who it's from.

yeah thats what i did but to be honest, i think unless you never join here, these "reminder" emails are unecessary.

Think what you will. But I beg to differ. When I have a mere 3 people participating in LOT48's, and even then because they saw my e-mail, I feel that the e-mails are warranted. Additionally, not everyone visits everyday. The e-mails allow me to communicate with EVERYONE at ANY TIME. That was especially useful this past week when I had to let you guys know what was going on with the site.
