Don't know how many racing fans we have, but it is with great regret that I just learned that Indy Car racer Dan Wheldon has died from injuries in a dramatic crash in Las Vegas just over an hour ago. God bless his family, friends, and fans.

Ok, so I guess nobody's kidding when they say racing is dangerous. Remember a couple of weeks ago when the fighter plane in a race crashed?
This is all sad news. :(

Bless his family, and my condolences.. Dan, may you rest in peace. You will be remembered. :(
Dan also resided in St. Petersburg, FL, which is adjacent to where I live.

RIP Dan, sadly it looked eerily similar to Dale Earnhardt's Crash that lead to his death in 2001. (Safety qualifications in IndyCar will change now)

I just saw the replay of the crash. It was horrific to watch as it was a 15-car crash where he happened to be in one of the couple cars that went airborne and crashed into the wall. Race car driving is a very dangerous sport, and it's not something I would ever want to do. However, Dan Wheldon was doing what he loved on that day. I offer my condolences to his family and his fans. :(
