Precisely, not only do you have to have knowledge on how to do it (well not really, but you do in order to make a GOOD site), you have to have time to devote to it and be willing to put some money into it to make it look professional (no freewebs or things of the like)

I don't have loads of web design experience, and I'd say that my site came out alright. I did have help with some things, but alot of it is my own work.

And I don't shell out loads of money either. Just $6.95 to host the site, and $35 a year for the domain.

Holy crap, you're getting majorly ripped off with the $35 a year/domain. GoDaddy only charges $7 a year per domain.

why don't you like godaddy? I also heard that .tk was one of the worst domain-making sites.

Because I've heard some bad things about them. I stay away from any company that I can't confirm is on the up and up.

Maybe. But there are tons of places that have domain prices between $7-15 a year.
