Google continues to change YouTube :/

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed all the recent changes on You Tube with more changes yet to come? I don't like what Google is doing to the site. The most recent, you can't make comments on yt videos unless it is done on google+. I don't like this. What are your thoughts?

I use a Windows Live email account to log into my YT and despite that, Google made me create a Google+ account so I can comment on YT videos. Ridiculous!

If you already have a G+ account then you won't really notice any changes. If you don't, then Youtube will prompt you to make a G+ account.

I already have a G+ account, but I never use it since I'm already on facebook and twitter. I guess this is something I'll have to use it for. But it's not fair to people who don't already have a G+ account. If they already have a you tube account, they shouldn't have to add a G+ account just so they can comment.

Back in the day, anybody could use any email address they wish upon registration to YT, regardless if it was Gmail or not.    I signed up in 2009, and to this day, I continue to receive notifications from YT in my Live inbox.

I signed up in 2008, and it forced me to use a google account.

Google has destroyed YouTube and continues to do so.  Heck, they changed the log-in process, and I had the hardest time figuring out how to switch between accounts.  This new comment thing: I guess you can't "like" comments anymore?  And to see replies, you have to click a link, which opens a new window, and then you have to scroll down again.  So confusing, so horrid.

With how you all keep talking about YouTube and the changes made, I'm more glad that I left it months ago.  I personally feel YouTube is just good for searching and watching content.  Everything else such as creating videos, maintaining your accounts, and handling feedback seem to be less than desired.

What tags?

You can add tags (or keywords) to you videos. It's a way to help people find your videos. For example, I'll tag my local forecast videos with "local forecast." The tags are still there when you go to edit or add a video, but they're missing from page where most people watch it.

Also, I noticed last night that unless you un-check it, your video comments get posted to your G+ page. Why would anyone want to do that?

I'm sure it's a strategy to get a bigger G+ userbase, but it ain't happening. Facebook will continue to be the most popular social networking site for the foreseeable future.
