Currently, the cheapest gas price in my area is $3.53.  There might be a small amount of relief coming in the next couple weeks as the market prices for gasoline have come down slightly.

It's now $3.29 for me, but they say it's going to go up.  I hope they're wrong.

The cheapest gas in my area is now $3.42, and some relief may be coming for all of you.  Have a look at the gas price graph lately from the markets:

http://data.cnbc.com/quotes/RBK3/tab/2

Click on the 1 Month (1 Mo) tab as that's how you can best interpret it.  What you see two weeks ago on the graph is what we're paying for gas now plus taxes (anywhere from 30 cents to a dollar depending on where you live) due to the lag from refining and distributing.  If those prices you see today continue, you will see a drop at the pumps in about two weeks.

You got to add your state sales tax to that amount you see in the stock quote.  Remember, it's the price of gasoline without any taxes.

The price is down to $3.36 per gallon and falling here, and it will continue for the next couple weeks.
