Guys, this goes beyond the two political parties here, so hating our President or supporting one of the current candidates isn't the way to go. Why? Not a single one of them has a solution to our crisis.

And yes, implementing Ethanol is a complete waste of time and especially money.

It has contributed to the major spike in food prices (a significant portion of the corn crop being grown for fuel instead of food) AND so few vehicles use it with it being so scarcely available to the public, what's the point of ethanol being processed to begin with? Unbelievable. Also, think about this... those that supply us with the majority of our oil imports hate us (example: Saudi Arabia and Venezuela). Either we start drilling at home (such as Alaska) or we immediately find a new source of fuel. As long as we continue to rely on foreign oil, we'll NEVER see a major drop in prices again.

And how many people are actually USING Ethanol? Hardly any.

Did anybody hear what happened in Saudi Arabia today? They pretty much told us to go find our own oil if we needed more because they weren't going to increase production any further.  :furious:

I have to disagree. I don't see how this has anything to do with Bush. If it were Obama, or Clinton, or anyone else the outcome would've been the same.

Yesterday I went to Iowa to fill up, and it was 3.69, and cost $35.00 to fill up (and acutally, we get a coupon for 5 cents off per gallon..so actually it was 3.64).  Anyways, when I bought my car last October, I could fill it up for around 22, 23 dollars.
