COMCAST AND GE RECEIVE REGULATORY CLEARANCE FOR
NBC UNIVERSAL TRANSACTION

PHILADELPHIA, PA, AND FAIRFIELD, CT – January 18, 2011 – Comcast (Nasdaq: CMCSA, CMCSK) and General Electric (NYSE: GE) announced today that they have received regulatory clearance from the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Department of Justice for the joint venture that will consist of the NBC Universal businesses and Comcast's cable networks, regional sports networks and certain digital properties. The joint venture will be 51 percent owned by Comcast, 49 percent owned by GE and managed by Comcast. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of January.
I doubt this changes much

I don't think we'll see any changes TWC wise either

So basically, Comcast owns TWC.

Comcast must have money, if TWC costed $3 Billion, imagine how much NBC as a whole, (or part), costs...

I wonder if Comcast will want to change the current NBC logo, because NBC has had that logo since the early or mid 80's. (Not that I want them to, though.)

Can somebody in a nutshell explain to me why Comcast has any interest in wanting to have partial ownership of NBC in the first place? :dunno:

Comcast is a monopoly. Hell, they could buy the entire world if it were for sale.
