Facebook experiencing DDoS Attack
« on: September 23, 2010, 03:41:30 PM »
Hey everyone... for people that use Facebook, they're experiencing a Denial of Service Attack right now (probably 4chan). You will not be able to log on or interact with the website at all. How sad! :(

This message brought to you by the Republic of Okean Internet Security Department.

Just as I suspected, I knew Facebook was having something.

How about heading over to Twitter? Let's overload their site by bringing back the failwhale and tweeting about facebook being down! Fun stuff!!!

*the above statement is sarcasm.*

EDIT: It's back on @ 4:19 pm ET
EDIT: Looks like a DNS failure... down again. <_<

That would explain the trouble I had using the site earlier today.

Things seem back to normal now.  All they said was that they were having "issues" that prevented "some" users from accessing the site.

If you really want to read how low and absolutely r*t*rd*d people are, read this page about "1,000,000 people who hate the Pittsburgh Steelers": http://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=65365724257&ref=ts

I'll often go on there to razz the people into doing stuff that really gets them mad (and don't worry, I haven't left the Steeler Nation....just went on to get someone REALLY  :censored: and such...he later blocked me after I poked fun at his combover. 37 and still living at home, heh. Typical Facebook. (You can probably deduce who this person is if you're over at Game Show Network.)

I pride myself in not having four digit numbers in friends. How the heck does someone know 1,000 people? Like, if I pointed to a random person on your friends list, could you tell me (without looking) when the last time you saw or spoke to them? Or remember where you met them? I don't have that in mine. Usually my friends list shrinks daily, and I don't lose people that I talk to all the time.

...10 years ago, who would have cared :P.  Goes to show how "vital" (for lack of a better word) Facebook is to society :P
