I have Qwest, on basic cable they don't do the black screen in my area. It has a ticker at the bottom of the screen of what you were watching and the EAS Tone and Same header come on.

Might be unrelated, but I thought I'd follow up on my previous post, in this topic, and say that my tornado sirens work again, now.     Still not a well working TV-EAS, though.  Typical.

I just wanted to know if anyone has an EAS that has no audio.
And is it againist the FCC ruled to  have no audio on the EAS TV Broadcast

No it's not just you. There have been numerous other topics about EAS in other twc forums. I don't know why the excitement lol.

LOL don't worry. Maybe if someone can tell me what's so good about EAS then i'll understand. Is the beeping noise cool? Is the scrolling message weird?
