Not sure if this was the correct place to ask for help, but I'm having a little trouble with importing WTV (Windows Recorded TV) video files into Windows Live Movie Maker. I've provided snapshots under the attachments section of this post to better understand what I'm having trouble with here.
First, after I imported the WTV file, WLMM says it's trying to prepare the video for improved playback performance (see screenshot 1 for reference.) But after a few seconds later, it stops, and the video clip shows a yellow ! box (see screenshot 2 for reference.) Afterwards I right-clicked on the video file in the WLMM preview section, and then clicked on the first option, "Fix clip." A window popped up and says that the video file may be corrupted or in a format the program doesn't recognize (see screenshot 3 for reference.)
For some reason, the WTV videos that were recorded in SD worked okay when they were imported, but it's the clips recorded in HD that ran me into a brick wall. Anyone here have any suggestions on what to do that I might be able to give a shot at?
