It really sucks that there is a potential tropical storm forming 80 miles offshore from my house and I am stuck having to watch these riduculous recounts of storms from many years ago. Bands of rain are roving in and there is no tropical update at 50 after and no local on the 8's until the very end of the show.
Also sucks when a good strong thunderstorm is bearing down and and there is an hour of some stupid show that means nothing to anyone except the 27 people who were affected by it 18 years ago. God forbid that there is a real hurricane coming and I'm all excited but TWC decides to run a marathon of Forecast Earth that day. I used to be a weather channel junky, but I find myself watching less and less. I say the weather channel goes back to it's base. Let The Learning Channel and Discovery run the documentaries....

TWC would pre-empt Forecast Earth more often if they had more OCM's....

Well this isn't a very severe system. (Where do you live btw) TWC has been talking about it quite a bit for the times when I have turned it on.

Just wait. When that sucker becomes a Tropical Storm, there won't be any long-form programming for a LONG time.

Actually, they are. Corner insets, storm alert music, and having Dr. Lyons to actually get some on-air time. They might be taking their own hype one hundered notches higher.
