Title: A YouTube partner made a copyright claim on one of your videos
Post by: beanboy89 on May 07, 2008, 07:51:58 PM
Oh boy, here we go. I just got this email in my inbox:

So it doesn't seem that I am in trouble, but they're just going to watch over my video and put ads on it...

BTW, here's a link to the video in question: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQTtIZep0nk

YouTube Content Identification program: http://www.google.com/support/youtube/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=83766&hl=en_US

Anyone have this happen to them before? Also, anyone know what I should do about the video? Should I delete it?

Don't delete the video. There's no reason to. Your in no trouble, they just want to put ads on it for some reason. I wouldn't worry about it anymore unless they ask you to remove it.

True. In fact I see that an ad has already appeared on that video. I guess they feel they need to run ads because all the money they've lost by me using their music in a video.

Yeah you've undoubtedly caused them to be on the brink of bankruptcy.  :rofl2:

Gosh Chris ease up a little. There's no way his account would have been banned. They would've jsut removed taht video, that's all.  :whistling:

Golly, it happened again. This time the video in question is a Rippingtons song.

This video is the one they're after: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=809zqxePP10
