You obviously have no idea what you're talking about. 300 members is quite an accomplishment for nearly a year and a half. It's hard work to create and maintain a successful forum. Why don't you try to create a forum and get 300 legitimate members in a year's time?

All I'm going to say is that you are obviously quite clueless. 302 members in 16 months time is huge. 70,000 + posts in the same time is also huge.

Indeed. I've always believed that more isn't always better when it comes to members. It's with that belief in mind that I created this forum to be a place where people would WANT to be active and participate regularly.

Also if you look at TWCC which was created in 05 you will see they only have around 414 members. Do some simple math and thats about 138 members a year give or take. I think its amazing TWCT has grown so much in such a short time

The difference is that I've been extremely proactive since day one in getting the word out. Matt, on the other hand, depended entirely on TWCMB for all his members, and has done very little proactively to bring in members. It's my belief that you can't sit back and wait for things to fall in your lap. You have to work for it.

Exactly. Us succeeding is huge. I've always compared TWCC to Wal-Mart, as they are alot larger and more popular (or at least were, no longer though) then we. Anytime a small-timer can come along and keep up with the big dogs, that's something to be proud of. And of course there's also the topic of this site, as you mentioned. TWC sites and forums don't typically have particularly large followings. So to succeed with such a site is, again, something worth being proud of.

I think he might be thinking in the mindset of other types of forums that have a lot of users, but what he's not seeing is, this is very specific topic for a forum, so you don't get as many as the other forums that have more broad topics.
