Hillary will be the next president of the united states

There is virtually no possible way she can do that.

The other night on Nightly News (that'd be last thursday I guess), Tim Russert did a very nice report on how it is not entirely impossible, but rather unlikely she'll get the nomination.  He showed a white board with all of the Super Deligates possible, and all the delegates from each state left for primaries, and for Hillary to win, she'd need at least 75% 70% after tonights win in WV. (give or take..not exactly sure the percent) of the vote in EACH state.

Her chances would be better if Florida and Michigan were counted, but, that is likely not going to happen.  But, Russert also brought up the fact, that if anything, the Committee or w/e would go fifty fifty between Florida and Michigan, giving half the delegates to Clinton, and half to Obama.  Even then, I believe she still wouldn't have enough delegates.

Thank you.  I'm surprised I came up with that.  I had to re-read some of it to see if it even made sence.  Tim Russert is the reason why I watch NBC for election coverage.  He give understandable (obviously), precise reportes

OH MY GOSH

When I was typing that, I actually put in the beginning "Thanks Dan, and it was all spelled right for you" ..but that sounded stupid.

Gosh   I'll drill that in my head one of these days.

On the local news, they showed an ABC News Poll, and 40% of the people surveyed, said they wanted Hillary to be Obama's running mate.  Interesting.

My Gov't teacher keeps saying "It'd be a hard ticket to beat" if they both teamed up.

Time to bring an old thread alive, as the elections are just over 2 months away.

Wanted to get some input on the VP candidates.

Do you think Joe Biden was a good choice for Obama, and that Sara Palin was a good choice for McCain?

Biden I think was an okay choice.  I would have gone with Hillary over Biden, as Hillary and Obama have (FOR THE MOST PART) the same stance on issues.  But, I guess Biden is good.  He's got the experience, and maybe that's what Obama needed, someone with more experience.

Now, Sara Palin.  Hadn't even heard of her until the day.  WTF was McCain thinking, asking a women, younger than Obama, less experience than Obama, to be on the Ticket.  OH YEAH... he wants to try to grab some of the Hillary supporters who want nothing to do wiht Obama.  I don't think this woman was a good choice...at all   I'm about to watch some of the Republican convention this week, and maybe my mind will change about Palin..

Personally, I think its a very odd choice. Not at all what I would have expected. On the other hand, I think Joe Biden is a very good choice for Obama, what with his expertise in foreign policy.

I think in order for Palin to work for McCain, he is going to have to introduce us to her, as many people are probably not familiar with her.  As I said, I'm definitely going to catch her speech next week at the Republican National Convention, see what he has to say about Obama and McCain.

Since politics can make me say really evil, harsh things, I have nothing to say, except...  Thank you, Republicans, for the Sarah Palin choice!  To a Democrat like me, she IS the gift that keeps on giving!
