So you're not registered to vote, or you are registered, but don't vote?

I'm not even registered. Honestly, I didn't register because I'd heard that it makes you a prime candidate for jury duty (which I haven't the time or desire to do). But I got called to jury duty last year WITHOUT being registered, so that theory is a bunch of BS in my book. Maybe I will register at some point, who knows.  :sunglasses:

You really can't but due to a family crisis and not having the time to listen to some bogus story in court, we couldn't attend.

I thought you can't refuse jury duty.

You can't REFUSE, but you CAN come up with a valid excuse, i.e. no transportation, ill, and so on.

Exactly.

How come you cannot refuse jury duty?

Because the law dictates that jury duty is a civic duty for every person.
