Title: WX Icons on TWC's Weather Magnet Program Changed.

It's Official:

Those who are currently using weather.com (http://weather.com)'s Weather On Your Website (http://www.weather.com/services/oap.html?from=footer) service, the icons have been modified.

Before: (http://i.imwx.com/web/common/wxicons/45/29.gif) (http://i.imwx.com/web/common/wxicons/45/30.gif)

After: (http://imawow.weather.com/web/common/wxicons/45/29.gif) (http://imawow.weather.com/web/common/wxicons/45/30.gif)

I didn't mind the change, but I like the before set better.

My weather website (http://geocities.com/mbrstooge) currently uses this service.

While I'm on the topic of the modified icons, I have just realized that those new icons (http://"http://xoap.weather.com/web/common/wxicons/72") for the online international maps, Weather Desktop, and TWC's Weather On Your Website service is a crossover between the 1998-2006 and the current icons sets.

Why exactly are the icons on Weather Desktop different than weather.com's and on TWC?

Now it looks like the icons on weather.com are about to make their change.  :yes: I've seen a few modified ones recently that have been mixed in with the old ones.

If that were the case, it seems that maybe TWC's online group could be making the icons easier to understand. I'm still gonna miss the current set on weather.com (should the transition take place), but at least I have the current icon collection...and them some in ".png" form.

It's now official!

Wow, I think they look great!

I noticed them on my weather.com Gold, but not on TV BECAUSE DEAR GOD THEY SPEND EVERY SECOND ON HURRICANE DOLLY.

The changes only apply to weather.com and its services, though I would love to see the new icons put to use on the National LFs if nothing else.
