Title: WTF happened to the Wikipedia article for TWC?
Post by: jtmal0723 on September 18, 2008, 02:11:01 PM
I woke up this afternoon to the Wikipedia article for The Weather Channel to have been seemingly vandalized. Someone had removed 90% of the past and present OCMs from the list and had said they weren't notable. I disagree. I believe that every one of them is notable and if they disagreed, that to put it on the talk page for discussion. I need help to keep the article in tact. I know people like MikeM2010 and beanboy89 among others would, but I don't know what people were thinking...

The Article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Weather_Channel_(United_States))

PS: if this isn't the right spot for this post, please put it in the right spot. Sorry.

That because I reverted their edits... I need help monitoring it so that doesn't happen again...

Meh I know it's a double post but still...

People have removed 90% of the list on the page and now the views of the fact that every OCM on TWC is notable is being challenged. I need help here but I don't know what to say or do here. Feel free to post your response there. Dunno, I figured I'd ask for your help since most, if not all of you follow The Weather Channel.

The person has requested sources and everything if I want to add them all back.

I just feel like the article that hard work was put into, is being destroyed

I took the user IP from Wikipedia and tried to match it to an IP here... No luck, so its not a user from this board.

Judging by the fat that they requested sources, I'm betting its Centurion Wind from the Taiganet forums.

I have to agree with you. :club:

:offtopic: He was also at one of my streams last night. I almost felt like booting him.

Yeah he forgets that he puts his pants on a leg at a time just like everybody else.

I'm guessing he must be a meteorologist or something, given his I know more than you attitude. I say that, of course, assuming he actually HAS a reason to think he's better than us.
