Will TWC Be Sold?

Hey, at least if Fox buys TWC, we won't hear any of the global warming crap anymore!

The major debate, however, is whether we have anything to do with it....

...And if it's real (which it isn't). Anyway, as I said on my site, the biggest issue here is whether or not the new owner will shut down sites like this.

Your right. You and I both need to be very concerned about that. 

Guys, I don't think they (or new ownership) are real interested in shutting sites like these down...now, if you were putting out UNTRUE garbage 24-7 about TWC and putting forth rumors about management, ownership, on-air talent, etc...then, you might be hit with a 'cease and desist'...but almost every entity has it's 'fan sites' as well as it's 'non-fan' sites....

This site, to me, is mostly visited by people who enjoy chatting about the network and about other 'trivial' things.  I do think they peek in to see what is being talked about here as well as the TWC CLASSICS site.

I'm certain they probably peek in here and there from time to time. But I must disagree with you about having nothing to worry about. I think we both should remain at least a little bit concerned. Because you know what, when it comes right down to it, it is extremely possible that they could ask our sites to shut down. And they don't have to have a reason.

I'm not saying anything will happen, and I certainly hope it doesn't. BUt I think we'd both be very stupid and irresponsible to completley dismiss and ignore the possiblity.

Not exactly, but sort of. We've both put multiple disclaimers throughout our sites, so we aren't infringing on any copyrights. The bottom line is that its their property regardless, and they can tell us to shut down our sites.

About yours, yes. But the STAR Team hasn't (that I know of) taken up residency here yet.

they barely have time to visit twcclassics, it would be nice for them to be around here too, but I think they're simply too busy...even so, it's practically the same members...thus two topics will be made, but on different forums...waste of time much?

Not a waste of time. We actually have an incredible number of members here that do not have a membership at TWCC. I realize you guys think thats not possible, but let's tap into reality, if only for a moment. It would be simply splendid to have the STAR Team here, but I do agree that they're probably too busy. I've been wanting to contact them, but I simply have no idea how. And help has not been willfully forthcoming.
