I've found that many factors affect what makes us watch TWC. So, here's a poll to find out which of these factors influence us the most into following TWC. You may pick more than one option as I've set it up to where each user has seven maximum votes, which happens to be the same number of options that I've listed. ;) Once you vote, you'll be able to see the poll results, and I'm really interested to see how they turn out. I watch The Weather Channel to find out the weather and forecasts, their excellent graphics and special effects, in which I felt they still have to work on the Weather Center ones as a few are not 4:3 safe... I also watch for the Hurricane and Severe Weather coverage, On-camera meteorologists are another factor, as I do have a few favorites and I like the professionalism. I really could give to s**ts about the local forecast music.

Well, I watch TWC for various reasons. The main reason is that I watch to learn about the extreme weather, how it happens and so on. I learned about what exactly is a hurricane or tornado. And, I got to track my first tropical storm, which...had my name on it! :D I love tracking hurricanes and getting info from TWC. The other reason why I watch TWC: Obviously, Steph.

I enjoy twc for it's severe weather coverage, graphics (particularly the icons), the local forecast (both the music and the appearance of each STAR), and of course just getting the weather forecast.

I used to watch TWC for pretty much everything, by 2007 however it was mostly the local forecasts that I watched as the on-air programming had started going downhill. Occasionally I'd watch OCM coverage during severe weather or hurricanes.

I watch TWC for Local Forecast music, finding out the weather in my area, and the graphics from 2003-2005. I don't usaully watch TWC during long-form programing, hurricane/severe coverage, (because I'm not into it since 2008) and when the weather/holiday travel bar appears.

I am on the same road as Mike. I used to watch for everything as well. Within the last few years though, it's been to catch up on the Local on the 8s, and then maybe a top of the hour forecast across the country. So basically, I voted for the first choice.

I don't prefer TWC for weather forecasts though...they're very inaccurate. The NWS is usually more accurate in predicting the weather but that's just my 2 cents.

When I first started watching it was for pretty much everything, the graphics, LF music and severe wx coverage, etc. Over the past few years, TWC's forecasting has gotten bad since that HiRAD crap came out, it's always wrong and it updates too slow. Now I watch for the LF (usually when storm are around) and to watch severe weather coverage and that's about it.
