Where does TWC get their graphics from?
« on: April 20, 2008, 04:29:58 PM »
Does TWC make their own graphics or does a special graphic design company makes it for them? I'm talking graphics like their L3s, Satellite LF graphics and segment opener graphics.

They have in-house graphic designers.

So TWC has their own graphic designing company, eh?

I wonder what the company is.

Apparently...

I was just shocked to know that they have a graphic designing department.

Pretty much every major network has their own graphic design department.

Most of the show graphics were probably done by external design agencies. We know for sure that The Your Weather Today and Weekend View graphics were done by Troika Design, but I don't know if we know who designed the rest of the graphics.

Isn't WSI just the technology division of Landmark?

That's a little hit and miss...

TWC does indeed create their own graphics and animations, however when it comes to weather related graphics (graphics with realtime weather obs / forecasts) they are created using TWC customized templates from WSI...

And I'm pretty sure skytracker is WSI-based, isn't it?

That doesn't count as graphics.
