Before anyone starts shouting about this title, I want you guys to watch these two videos. The first is basically the second video in a nutshell. It is, by far, the funniest moment of TWC I have ever seen. Kevin and Jim are having way too much fun here. XD
TWC - Jim Cantore's Weatherporn (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzCtvmL_4Mk#)
And, the second video...
TWC- 10/16/09 Weather Center Highlights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Igdreq4ITiM#)
If you don't laugh at some point during these videos, something is wrong with you. This is TWC at its funniest. All-men show, what can I say?

you probably just gave this site a gazillion more hits once the search engines crawl it :P

.....Yay?

...or it just isn't your kind of humor. I'm into silly/dopey/absurd humor myself. Awkward/nice guy humor rarely makes me laugh. And maybe it's just me, but some of those borderline gay references were a little creepy.
-
That's a fair answer, although those gay references were purely a joke. I attend an all-guy school, and references like that are made quite often as a joke, even though very little of the student body is gay, if any.

Yah, I got that. :P

It was a bit funny but nothing like the atmosphere back in the classic days. Its a shame :(

I agree with Martin. "Back in the day" they were extremely serious and professional. Since the mid 2000's ('03 on) they've taken more of a lighthearted (but still professional) tone, but that lost some of the professional tone starting around '07 or '08. Again, it's a shame.

I would have to agree. Especially Alexandra, Kelly, and Kim. Their personalities have changed so much I can't stand them anymore.

In the classic years OCMs didn't make casual references to "gutter" humor or sexual orientation. That's been more of a modern trend. Contrast the video posted or Stephanie's comments awhile back about Mike Bettes "drinking his own urine" to what I thought was a humorous comment made by Carl Parker yesterday during a tropical update when he was referring to the spaghetti models of Matthew: He said it looked like a "sea urchin". That's more like what you would hear back in those days (e.g. Dave Schwartz). Of course that was during a time when the Weather Channel was focused more on serious weather broadcasting than on the current 'Weather-tainment' thing.

Agreed. TWC has always had a sense of humor, which I appreciate. But I don't care for the cheap "gutter" jokes. It's unprofessional and (IMO) shows a lack of imagination.
