Weather.com : Hurricane Mode

According to TWC/Weather.com FB page, hurricane mode on weather.com is now full force:

Check out weather.com right now. We've gone into Hurricane Mode with an exciting new product and look. The Weather Channel and weather.com are now in round the clock coverage as we track Hurricane Earl's path up the East Coast.

also, a new product has been introduced for hurricane mode, I don't know what it is yet.

Hurricane mode huh? So are we going to hear "We are in Hurricane Mode" in every other sentence instead of "We are in Storm Alert Mode?"

When I read this topic, I expected the blue theme of weather.com to be red, but I checked just now, and there's just a red banner near the top of the page.

I have a feeling they're gonna start using that from now on, once conditions rise.

The "Hurricane Mode" is clearly the large banner of box at the top of the weather.com homepage. This is a cool feature; it would be neat if the "blue" theme was red, too. I miss the picture banners from the old weather.com that mentioned the name of the hurricane and had an image of a blowing palm tree.

sure it maybe an decision made at "30 Rock" (as in NBC Universal corporate headquarters), but Hurricane Mode sounds like a better name then "Storm Alert", because the term storm alert could mean anything from Winter storm, Hurricane, Tornado outbreak, ETC.
