Title: Weather.com Discussion
Post by: Mike M on November 23, 2008, 12:50:29 PM
I figured I'd start a thread to discuss everything about weather.com.

I noticed the other day that the hourly forecast on weather.com was updated, now showing a 15-minute forecast trend for the next hour. Also, the forecast graph on the hourly forecast finally uses the current icons (up until last week it was still using the old 1998 icons). Pretty neat.

It looks like the new (quarter) hourly forecasts are done by TWC's new TruPoint products.

I love TruPoint!!   I think it's an awesome product.  Many local stations across the country have "Futurecast" or "StormCast" or something, that just shows solid colors, but TruPoint is an actual radar :D

My CBS affiliate here in Atlanta does a "future radar" map, which is very similar to TruPoint, except much clearer, IMO. I don't know if it's displayed on their website, but for those who are interested, you can look around here: www.cbs46.com

So in other words, they're finally branding HiRAD?
