well, it's a pretty sad story made even sadder now that we know he took his own life.

it's a horrible loss for The Weather Channel family, the NBCUniversal Family and his own family and close friends and co-workers.

May he rest in peace.

i wonder what drove him to kill himself, was it depression, was it terminal illness, or did he recently had something bad happen to him, we may never know, but all i know for sure is Suicide is a sad way to end one's life and there's a way to find help if you are tempted to do it.

if you are thinking about committing suicide, please go to this website:
http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ or call 1-800-273-TALK (8255)

the national suicide prevention hotline can help if you are suicidal. they will help you talk yourself out of it and will help you turn your life around.

i have never attempted committing suicide in my life or called the hotline. but i figure it's the right thing to do by mentioning the hotline and the site, since we know now that Nick's death was indeed a suicide.

and plus, he's trending on Facebook's trending section.

He used to be part of TWC Radio.  I heard him on WLS in Chicago all the time.

God rest his soul.

Suicide is never-- and will never-- be a good way to kick the bucket.

If anyone here is having any of these thoughts, please go to this website:
http://www.suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ and call their number right now. It will save you a hell of a lot of trouble.

My sincere apologies to Nick's family, friends, and co-workers. May his soul rest in God's hands now.

I've lost a few friends to suicide over the years, as I'm sure many of us have.

Not only that, but I was once very (and I mean VERY) close to taking my own life, so I fully understand why people do it.  EVERYBODY has a breaking point.  Besides, many different prescription drugs (ironically enough, many "antidepressants") cause suicidal tendencies.

I knew a guy online who killed himself about 10 years ago, but he had terminal Cancer.  He was a dying man as it was, and he didn't want to deal with the agonizing pain and suffering that go along with the end stages of Cancer.  I can respect that.

One thing I've learned in life is that as long as you have your health, THERE IS HOPE.

Suicide is a very bad way to leave this life.  It's murder, in fact. The taking of one's own life. It's wrong. How can so-called "anti-depressents" cause someone to want to commit it?

It's frightening when you see what many of these pharmaceuticals can cause a person to do or become.  A  buddy of mine's girlfriend turned into a completely different person due to a "medicine" her doctor told her to take.  Remember, drugs are drugs, and just because a doctor tells you to take it, that doesn't necessarily mean it's "safe."

Check this out...
Chantix, Suicide, and the Point of Prescription Drug Warnings

This one's kinda horrifying...
The Best Drug for Quitting Smoking Can't Shake Its Suicide Stigma

I love how that second one tries to prove that "it's not the drug."  PUH-LEEZE.  We all know how drug companies rig studies and pay others to rig studies for them... WE'RE NOT THAT STUPID.   :nono:

Most people who kill themselves while not on drugs do so to escape some sort of pain, either physical or emotional.  They feel it's their only way out.
