Hey, I remember this variant when I was in school. On weather.com, the sun had a yellow-white color instead of the more traditional orange-yellow version. Can't it get more tackier than this?

Um, hands down the first one. :P
Weather.com had those low res icons back then since a lot of people had dial-up still, and those icons were easier to load.

Wow, how times have changed. :P For some reason, however, I don't remember weather.com having those low-res icons but do remember Yahoo! Weather using them before upgrading to the present-day realistic ones.
