Title: WCL Changes and new OCM schedules
Post by: IceManNYR on November 16, 2014, 10:00:47 PM
TWC is making more changes to the schedule.

The 10am edition of Wake Up With Al is going away in place of WCL and there is new OCM pairing for the new shift.

Starting tmrw! Join @TWCChrisWarren & me for a new live show on @weatherchannel 10a-12p eastern/7a-9a"

10am-12pm Jen Carfagno & Chris Warren.
If the other OCM pairs stay the same it should be
12am-3pm Vivian Brown & Jennifer Delgado.
3pm-6pm Alex Wilson &  Dave Schwartz.
6pm-8pm Kelly Cass & Paul Goodloe.

This a much better schedule.
I never understood the point of reairing Wake Up With Al for an hour at 10am ET when most of the weather content was outdated.
Also it was odd having Chris only do one hour of WCL at 7pm ET.

Jen C. mentioned on Twitter she is on M-F so that means someone else is going to take over her 5am-9am weekend shift.

Actually, this would be a great schedule change. Jen called it a "new" show; I wonder if it will have a name other than Weather Center Live.

As for weekends, I'd be willing to bet that Bonnie Schneider will be installed on the 9-12 program (she's anchored that frequently in the past few weeks) and Kait Parker will be moved to the 5-9.

Agree on the OCMs for weekends.
The guide listings are calling 10am-12pm Weather Center Live.

Repeating it for the west coast.  Otherwise, it would be too early for most viewers in Pacific time to watch.  Sure, they could do a second show, primarily for the west, but also for everyone else, live, or they could just extend Wake Up With Al to the entire time slot instead of splitting it up, but it's a lot cheaper to air the second show mostly from videotape.
