Apparently TWC went from being an incorporation to a limited liability company, per the station ID below. I guess this is what happens to companies when they become subsidiaries of another company?

yeah i forgot to mention that they updated the station ID

Seems like they have been one for quite some time. "a hybrid business entity having certain characteristics of both a corporation and a partnership or sole proprietorship (depending on how many owners there are"

Yeah, I would have thought that TWC became a LLC several years ago. I find it odd that it suddenly shows up now as 2011 arrives.

Some things like this take time after a purchase like that.
Changes roll in at a slow pace, I guess.

This may be a random question, but when and why would TWC become a LLC? (as seen on the star id page)

Probably because they don't have as much money to be an incorporation after they were acquired by NBC.
