I wonder, why doesn't TWC voluntarily post their music playlists on their website (weather.com)? There is a link to music playlists buried in the site, but it hasn't been updated since 2006. I wonder, why they don't realize how many people actually go to the site to look up what music is being played during the local and national segments and they have to rummage through link after link and come up with nothing (like me). It is extremely aggravating. Case in point here: http://jeff-duntemann.livejournal.com/138979.html

Better yet, why don't they just display the artist's name at the bottom corner of the screen? (the above gentleman's suggestion, and a good one).
Since weather.com has advertisements on their site, wouldn't it just be good business to give some people what they want to see and thereby draw more people to the site? Are they not bothered by so many emails requesting the playlist yet?
Well, I don't really expect an answer here, just questioning out loud. Thanks for listening.

I think the lack of playlists since 2006 has been a result of carelessness on TWC's part. They just haven't taken the time to update the playlist page for whatever reason. I'm inclined to believe its just because their too lazy to do so.
By the way, what exactly do you mean you don't expect an answer here?

I agree with Gary. I think it is simply laziness/carelessness of their part. I mean, they have the playlists available upon request, and it would just take them a matter of minutes to post them on the site. Of course, it'll never happen, but they could just link to twctodayforums.com for the playlists. :P
BTW, the idea of listing the song in the corner during the LF won't happen unless they heavily modify the STAR system.

Hey, I like that idea! :P

Oh, I just meant that I didn't expect anybody to know the answer that's all. Theories are certainly welcome and interesting, thank you. :) I am hoping, though to raise awareness with TWC that although their biz is the weather which is certainly important, the music is also an integral part of the programming and I think they would benefit from making this information more easily accessible to viewers.

Doesnt TWC pay for someone to put up the playlists on the site?
-
No, not exactly per se. I'm sure whomever does it is a paid employee, but I'm sure that their only job isn't to post playlists.
-
Well, when you have horrible songs like Brighter Days by Brian Hughes playing for 4 months straight, there's no need to update the playlist.
-
They have been playing my music for several months and this is the first time I have found a playlist.
