New standardized teaser format?
« on: September 19, 2008, 07:17:19 PM »
I watched DP and WC today, and I noticed that they were using a new style of teaser graphics for all hours. The new graphics are sort of a blend between the old Weather Rundown graphic from A&B and the teaser graphics from SportsCenter. The new graphic is positioned to the left, but it has two lines per story like the SportsCenter graphic. They're also colored yellow/blue for DP and WC, respectively.

I wonder if this is an attempt to create a standardized teaser style like they did in 2004...

Video coming in a few hours...

I like that idea. IMO, the standard lower thirds they used before aren't "attractive" enough for them to be used as teasers.

BTW, they've also started using a new WC bumper to go to commercial and a separate one for coming back. They're pretty nice.

They just used the evening version of the new teaser format at the top of the 5 PM CT hour. I like them!

That doesn't even make sense because PME is supposed to be a "daytime" show given the show's other graphics and set colors...

That's true. Though I'd consider the weekend edition of the show to be an "evening" show since it's on later.
