These these two people need to lose their jobs: <_<

  • Heidi Cullen
  • Natalie Allen

I beg to differ. No one deserves to loose their Job. While Heidi wasn't my favorite, she wasn't the worst thing on TWC, IMO. Also, during Natalie's short tenure at TWC, she really grew on me. I did enjoy her FE presentations more than Heidi's.

I have to agree with Tyler. and I've said this all along. Whilst I didn't care for the environmental thing, or Heidi Cullen in particular, I'd never wish for someone to lose their job.

That surely was
And, that thing you said about Alexandra Steele was just not right!!!

Take it easy. It was sarcasm because I'm angry with NBC making the bonehead decision to give Dave Schwartz his walking papers. I mentioned Alexandre Steele because if they really wanted to piss off viewers and top that move, they can be really insensitive by firing Steele. That's what I meant.

As of this morning, Cheryl still has her job. I wonder how this is going to pan out.

Eboni has now joined Cheryl for Weekend Outlook. I'm guessing the layoffs won't go into effect until Monday at the earliest.

Going back to what Victor was saying about not understanding why it was them.  I can understand Cheryl and Dave, because they have a longer tenure at TWC, and probably get paid a little more.  But Eboni, I don't understand.  You'd think they'd get rid of the OCM's who've been at TWC for a longer period of time.

Something similar happened to the NBC afilliate here in my market.  They had problems with money (their company), and fired their chief meteorologist, who'd been there for neirly 25 years, and than a reporter/wknd anchor who had been there for just under 2.  It makes no sence as to how they figure that out.

But as Gary said, we may never know why the people who lost their job, lost it, or TWC's decision to can these people. It's just unfortunate it had to happen.

To Thecoolwriter-  just let it go.  Some people just don't like Alexandra Steele, and you have to respect their opinion, as they respect yours about liking her :)

Kind of like how I saw Dave and Eboni on DP on Thursday

Actually Kyle, layoffs usually work in just the opposite fashion. People with tenure are the last to go. The least-tenured people are usually cut first. Then you usually go up the ladder in order of tenure. So actually it SHOULD, then, come as a surprise to see Dave and Cheryl being axed first. Lower folks such as Betty Davis, Eboni Dion, Ray Stagich, Alex Wallace, and Sam Mohr shoulda come first.

I hope TWC will help the OCMs find a new job. Otherwise they'd have a very unsuccessful life.

I doubt that highly EXCEPT in Dave's case. He'd either have to go and get his degree in meteorology, or find another field of work because he's not an actual meteorologists. But the other two should have no problem finding work again.

:offtopic:, but do you think the Local Forecasts and Weatherscan units are going to change or even be replaced with something different?

My computer just starting working today so I just heard the bad news. I'm highly upset that they let Dave and Cheryl go, but I'm also concerned about Heather. I don't remember seeing her on YWT since Marshall left. I hope they aren't going to fire her too. If they keep this up they're gonna run this network into the ground.
(Why couldn't they fire Samantha and Betty instead?)

Dave is, actually; TWC wouldn't label an OCM as a meteorologist if he wasn't an actually meteorologist.
