Wow, significant indeed. My FOX station currently uses Weather Central for generating weather graphics, so I wonder what WSI is gonna do to stations that use Weather Central.
I've gone off on a journey to be a moderator at another forum, but this place will forever remain home for me~

I suspect they will keep updating the products. You cant have every station with the same looking graphics in a single market :P

Well, in my opinion, it's quite obvious that WSI has wanted to stand out in front of Weather Central, especially with their TruVu line of products. In fact, 3 out of 4 news stations in the Tampa-St. Petersburg DMA use TruVu Max on air. :P

Wow! I'm surprised at how tightly integrated the market is there. Its certainly possible that they just axe it.

One thing that might be a concern for some markets is cost. WXC's cost of their graphics system was much lower than Tru Vu MAX, so I've heard. Interesting to see what develops from this!

Wow. Our local CBS affiliate just upgraded their weather computers from Weather Central to go HD. They're still setting them up and training on them, so they haven't even premiered yet!

Weather Central is amazing.  I am currently working with it at my internship.  It will be interesting to see what the newer products look like and what they have to offer..
