Title: The problem with weather.com video forecasts
Post by: Spring Rubber on March 29, 2008, 10:40:48 PM
They're outdated!

Seriously, Dave recorded tonight's videos several hours ago, but the forecast for Chicago on Monday is already outdated. The video shows a high of 55, but the official TWC forecast has already been changed to a high of 62, with many local affiliates already predicting even higher. Even so, the weather.com video won't be updated until at least 5 AM tomorrow. Perhaps they need more OCMs to work later at night on these videos so they won't get outdated like this?

How often do they usually update the video forecasts?

Only twice a day, AFAIK, once around 5 AM and once around 5 PM; it's not nearly enough for the ever-changing forecasts.

Paul Goodloe did tonight's weather.com forecasts without a suit coat; that's different.
